- Insert the included USB cord into the port just below the power switch on the back of the CarryiOn.
- To power by USB, insert the other end of the cord into your laptop, rechargeable power bank or other USB port. Or, to power by AC, insert the other end of the cord into the included AC adaptor and plug the adaptor into an electrical outlet.
- Push the on/off button. You’ll know the unit is operating when you see the blue glow on top of the unit.
CarryiOn is 6 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter, which is just slightly larger than a soft drink can, and fits easily into a cupholder. CarryiOn weighs only 8 ounces.
VOC stands for volatile organic compounds. Concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors and are emitted by a wide array of products like paint, varnishes, recently dry-cleaned items, common household cleaning products, etc. Effects from exposure to VOCs vary widely. Some VOCs are known carcinogens while others cause no known health effects. A surprisingly large one! From the moment you turn on your CarryiOn, it starts to create a sphere of protection up to 20 feet in diameter that surrounds you wherever you go. But, the longer CarryiOn runs in one space, the more expansive the area of protection becomes (can be more than 300 square feet).

This device does emit a small amount of ozone as a by-product of the bipolar ionization process. The levels are within the EPA guidelines of .05 ppm. This is not a device that purposefully emits ozone—CarryiOn uses a very different technology than ozone generators.
California has an additional regulation that requires extra testing for any appliances or devices that emit ozone, even if they comply with the federal EPA limits for ozone. We’ve not completed this testing so we are not able to ship to CA.
UL 2998 is a code applied to air purifiers that emit zero ozone. At the opposite end of the spectrum are devices designed specifically to generate ozone (for air or water purification). But CarryiOn is unique. CarryiOn uses a very different technology that replicates the air purification process that occurs during thunderstorms which naturally emit trace levels of ozone. As a result, we do not claim zero ozone emission. Although this prevents us from complying with UL 2998 code, you can be assured that the trace level of ozone emitted by the cell that produces our bi-polar ion clusters is in full compliance with Environmental Protection Agency guidelines (.05 ppm).
